my therapeutic approach

Change begins where understanding each other becomes possible.

In my work, I am interested not only in what weighs on people, but also in why certain feelings, relationship patterns or inner conflicts keep returning. Often these connections are not visible at first glance. Only when they are understood together does it become possible for something to change in a lasting way .

I see psychotherapy as a shared process of discovering and understanding. It is not about finding solutions as quickly as possible or getting rid of symptoms, but about giving space to what often lies beneath, outside of awareness. I work attentively, warmly and from a psychoanalytic stance. I listen not only to what is said, but also to what can be sensed between the lines or has not yet found expression. I share my perceptions where they can help make connections more understandable and open up new perspectives.

Conflict as a way into understanding

I do not see conflicts primarily as something that has to be solved or avoided. They can point to inner processes and relational experiences, and they often open up access to themes that have so far remained hidden. It is often in understanding them that the possibility of change lies.

It matters to me to create a reliable therapeutic setting in which people feel accepted with their thoughts, feelings and questions. In my view, a trusting relationship is the foundation for development and change.

Development happens where people begin to meet themselves with more understanding and to see themselves from new angles.

My work is grounded in the scientifically recognised methods of psychoanalysis and psychodynamic psychotherapy. At the same time, it matters to me that therapy does not remain theoretical. Everyone brings their own life story, their own experiences and their own way of experiencing the world. That is why I always see psychotherapy as an individual process that follows the person, not a fixed scheme.

My way of working has been shaped by my training in psychoanalysis and psychodynamic psychotherapy , by many years of work with families in early stages of life, and by experience in a range of clinical settings. These experiences have sharpened my awareness of how closely early relationships, current life circumstances and inner experience are connected.
