Individual therapy
Sometimes you need a place where everything is allowed to have its place.
Distressing thoughts, recurring conflicts or the feeling of being stuck rarely come about without a reason. In individual therapy at my practice in Berlin-Kreuzberg, we create a protected space to understand your situation better, develop new perspectives and set in motion changes that can have a lasting effect on everyday life.
Psychological difficulties rarely arise in isolation.
Anxiety, exhaustion, low mood or recurring conflicts are often more than isolated symptoms. They can express inner conflicts, painful relational experiences or familiar strategies that once helped but now make everyday life harder. Lasting change often becomes possible when these connections are understood and new emotional experiences can emerge.

Which forms of individual therapy do I offer?
Everyone comes with different concerns, experiences and goals. That is why I offer two scientifically recognised forms of individual therapy. Both belong to the psychodynamic family of therapies, but they differ in focus and approach. Here you can find out which one might suit your situation best.
Psychotherapy begins with a few initial assessment sessions (probatorische Sitzungen). They help us get to know your current situation, understand your concerns together and find out which form of psychotherapy suits you best.
Only on this basis do we decide together whether continuing therapy makes sense and in what scope.
First meeting
In a non-binding conversation we clarify your concerns and see whether working together feels right.
Initial assessment sessions
Over a few sessions we get to know each other better and deepen our understanding of your concerns.
Deciding together
Together we decide whether and in what form therapy should begin, and what its framework will be.
How long does therapy take?

How can individual therapy be paid for?
Psychotherapy can be paid for in different ways. In my practice, treatment is possible as a self-payer, through private health insurance and Beihilfe and, under certain conditions, through reimbursement (Kostenerstattung) . You will find the details on the fees page.
I would be glad to support you on your way.
